Country Clips – Client Understanding & Agreement
Country Clips provides a holistic, low-stress grooming service that prioritises the comfort, emotional
wellbeing, and safety of each dog. We specialise in working with dogs who may be anxious,
reactive, fearful, or unable to attend standard grooming salons. Services may include calming or
behavioural support techniques that are not standard grooming services and are reflected in our pricing.
Appointments
Drop-offs must be calm and efficient. Owners must not interact with other dogs on the property. Late arrival may shorten the session or incur a fee. Dogs must be collected at the agreed time. Late collection may incur a $1 per minute fee after a 30-minute grace period. Country Clips does not provide pet-sitting services.
Pricing
Prices vary based on coat condition, matting, breed, size, behaviour, groom length, fleas, and
handling time. Routine grooming every 4–6 weeks is recommended.
Matting
Matting is the owner’s responsibility. Mat removal is an additional service ($10–$60+). Severe
matting may require shaving for the dog’s comfort. While reasonable care is taken, mat removal carries inherent risks such as minor skin irritation or nicks.
Fleas
If fleas are detected, grooming may be refused or flea treatment performed at the owner’s cost. A $50 sanitation fee may apply.
Health
All known medical or behavioural conditions must be disclosed prior to grooming. Country Clips is not a veterinary service and is not responsible for pre-existing or undiagnosed conditions or conditions aggravated by grooming.
Payments
Payment is required prior to or at pick-up. Late payments may incur a $10 administration fee and reasonable recovery costs.
Dogs in Heat or Unwell
Dogs must be symptom-free for 14 days before their appointment. Dogs in heat or showing signs of illness will not be accepted.
Safety & Right to Refuse
Country Clips reserves the right to refuse, pause, or discontinue grooming if continuing would compromise the safety or wellbeing of the dog or groomer. The dog’s welfare always comes first.
Agreement & Online Booking Consent
By booking an appointment online, in person, or via message, you confirm that you have read,
understood, and agreed to this agreement. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits rights under
the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).
